OUR FIRST CONTACT - CALL FOR SCRIPTS
SilverGod Pictures, an independent film production company in Austin, Texas in association with the OUTer Film Festival is currently seeking short, 5-7 minute film scripts about Human kind's First Contact. Primarily about a first contact between a Human and another sentient being(s), we are also interested in the more creative and uncommon possibility, i.e. extra terrestrials, ghosts, creature of fantasies or even ourselves from the future of past. Stories may also take place in the future, the past or in a more contemporary time. There are few limits to the possibilities of your imagination, however, we would encourage your story to contain a major character that would either be gay or lesbian and/or that the content of your story be of interest to the more broader GLBT community. We would like to see scripts that are already written but we are also willing to consider collaboration with other film-makers or writers to write and develop a great story.
Selected scripts will then be produced as individual short films and later become part of a single feature film. Though the feature film will also be produced by SilverGod Pictures and directed by various individuals, you will be an intrigral part in the development and the production of your story and will receive full credit for your participation in both the short film and the feature film. SilverGod Pictures is not looking to steal your ideas, rather than to tell your unique story and to promote other writers and film-makers like ourselves.
Please submit your copyrighted* and/or registered** script by January 1, 2008 to the address listed below. We will also be more than happy to accept your script, hand delivered so that you may have the opportunity to pitch your film's story. At this point, SilverGod Pictures, nor The OUTer Film Festival can offer any kind of compensation other than full credit in the final short film(s) and the feature film. Further compensation will be determined at a later date. Scripts that are not selected will be returned to its original author after all scripts have been reviewed and considered.
